Had a long weekend in the lovely London, hosted by my sister-in- law, Rhona and her two young kiddies, Nika and Shay – aka the cousins. My brother Tim was ‘on tour’ in Asia so we didn’t get to catch up with him but was great to see Rhona and the kids. Nika (6) and Ryker (4) picked up where they left off at Christmas and were practically joined at the hip the whole time – so cute! Rykersaurus experienced sleeping in a bunk bed for the first time (he loved it) and saw many of the iconic London sites – Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Millennium Bridge, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye. That said, I think he enjoyed his time with the cousins best of all.
On the Saturday, we went to a great Farmer’s Market at Nika’s school, where we devoured chocolate croissants (essential training for Paris). Then on the last day, we spent most of the time at Queen’s Park, the cousins’ local park, which had plenty of points of interest, including a small petting zoo.
