Un pain au chocolat, s’il vous plait!

Ah, Paris. So many chocolate croissants, so little time.

Had a fabulous trip on the Eurostar from London, arriving at about 3 pm in the city of amour. After a short taxi ride, we got to our little apartment in the 14th arrondissement, near Monparnasse, which is a fairly quiet residential district. After unpacking a bit, we hit the pavement. Within seconds, we were lured inside a brasserie where I unleashed my school girl French.  I actually wasn’t too bad, managing to tell the garcon that he hadn’t given me a tea bag for my tea or any milk, as I had requested. Paris 0, Georgina 1. Paris soon put me in my place however with its superior food, ambience and command of its own language.

Our three day visit was soon devoured but we managed to take Ryker to see the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame, the Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter.

More of France to follow….
