When we dined at a bar in Nerac, we were seated near a television, much to Ryker’s delight (another obsession). Dr Who was on and this stirred up many questions from the Rykersaurus who had never seen or heard of the show. He was particularly impressed by the Daleks and their ability to shoot at people. Having spent four years trying to shield him from such antics, I was a bit miffed that he was taking such an avid interest. I had to laugh however when it seemed that he thought these machines with a penchant for gunfire were called ‘the Garlics’.  Conjures up an image of French foodies that assassinate people with their breath…
