Loving our time in Rome. Forgot about the throng of tourists but I suppose that is what we are too. That said, we have relatives here so we are not really tourists. Visitors, perhaps. Definitions aside, we went to the Colloseum one morning and the National Museum of Rome, which had the most incredible marble-carved statues and mosaics from a couple of millennia ago.
We also saw the Circus Maximus, the largest stadium in Ancient Rome used for chariot races and other entertainment for the masses. Rykersaurus was quite enthralled with it and promptly pointed to an adjacent structure and stated, “And that must be the Gluteus Maximus!” I kid you not. Jason and I were very proud.
