We arrived in Venice by train and it certainly didn’t disappoint. As soon as you exit the Venezia St Lucia Train Station, the views take your breath away. Jason and I have been fortunate enough to have been to Venice several times before but for some reason, this time its beauty hit us more. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, perhaps? It has been eight years since we last visited the splendid capital of Italy’s Veneto region. Too long really. Everywhere you look, you are surrounded by stone palaces, lavishly carved archways and exquisite ancient statues. Not to mention, water!
