Fantastic views of the Acropolis and its jewel in the crown, the Parthenon, from the breakfast terrace at our hotel in Athens. The Parthenon was an ancient temple dedicated to Athena, the patron goddess of Athens and was built around 447 BC! Incredible. The Rykersaurus was quite taken with it and kept demanding to go up the mountain. He was also quite taken with the breakfast buffet, which he attacked with gusto: cereal, pastries, yoghurt, scrambled eggs – it’s a wonder that there was anything left after he’d filled up.
