Thankfully, the ATMs are full and functioning and with the government still in talks with the EU, tourists can continue to withdraw sufficient euros to fund their holidays. This means we can continue to feast like kings and soak up the sunshine! Importantly, it also means we can continue to inject much-needed cash into the local economy.
Said euros in pocket, we had our last Parian meal at Katerina’s Restaurant, a traditional taverna set back from the waterfront but with glorious views of it. Rykersaurus chose to go Italian, however Jason and I shared some traditional Greek dishes, including our staple, the Greek Salad. During dinner, we watched the ferries go back and forth, as the afterglow of sunset lingered on the horizon.
