After braving a couple of really long queues, we entered the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium – Real Madrid’s football ground. Ryker was in his element as we walked around the enormous stadium although he did remind us on several occasions that he is actually a Barcelona fan! I told him to keep that bit of information to himself during the tour…

The stadium also has a section that houses all of the trophies and awards that the club has won as well as historical information on past players. Like a museum really. Well worth the wait in the long queues!

As we walked through the stadium, we got corralled into a roped off section and the next thing we knew, we were being photographed next to the Champion’s League trophy recently won by Real Madrid.
