Visited the Pope’s Palace in Avignon, one of the most important medieval buildings in Europe. We were able to walk though most of its vast rooms, many of which were adorned with original artwork.
While we were in the central courtyard, a stage was being built in readiness for an event of some sort. Its thick, high walls and sense of history would create the perfect atmosphere for a concert.
Rykersaurus was very impressed with the palace, likening it to the Bernabeu football stadium in Madrid. High praise indeed.
