There was always something happening while we were in Chania. From our hotel balcony, we saw a unisex choir practicing for a concert one evening. They sung with such passion that it was hard to tear ourselves away from the balcony.
Another evening, we witnessed a group of bouzouki players playing in one of the main town squares. What made the performance particularly interesting, yet typically Greek, was that there were two hounds lying on the stage asleep.
