Acropolis, Athens

Last year, we ran out of time to take the Rykersaurus up to see the Parthenon so it was top of the schedule on this brief visit. And it never disappoints. It’s a short but steep climb to the top of the Acropolis and slippery, I might add, due to the well-worn marble steps but the views are dazzling.

On the way down, we saw a tortoise attempting to cross the path. Another example of Greek hospitality perhaps – throwing in a complimentary extra?
