From our hotel window, we could see the masses gathering at Parliament Square. On this occasion, they were celebrating the supposed bail out debt agreement – the particulars of which are now going to referendum. Interesting times!

Despite the unstable economic environment, Athenian life goes on. Cafes and restaurants are still bursting with both locals and tourists and the general feeling is upbeat.
