Our Athlete, the Rykersaurus

We loved the Olympic Museum. It was essentially three floors of Olympic paraphernalia including all of the torches,  the mascots, the various stadiums, information and photos on the history behind its inception in Greece and then its revitalisation by Pierre de Coubertin, the equipment used and clothes worn throughout the ages- it really was incredible. The perfect outing for a cloudy day.

Outside the museum, there were statues of famous olympians throughout history, a huge rotating torso and even a 100m track with a sign encouraging everyone to try and beat Usain Bolt’s record. Ryker said he would try that another day.  He was happy enough just to jump underneath the high jump bar set at the current olympic record height.
